Following Christ

Does hearing good news make you feel like you have to share it?
That's how we feel here at Central. We know good news and we are compelled to
share it with you beacuse of our love for Jesus Christ.

In knowing Christ there is a Faith involvement on our part.

Below we have broken the word F.A.I.T.H. down to help you understand what we are talking about.

F - is for Forgiveness.
     We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God's forgiveness. In Ephesians 1:7a, it says,
     "In Him (meaning Christ Jesus) we have redemtion through his blood, the forgiveness of sins".
      (NKJV)

A - is for Available.
     Forgiveness is available. It is - Available For All. In John 3:16, it says,
     "For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever
      believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (NKJV)
     But Not Automatic. In Matthew 7:21a, it says,
     "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom
     of heaven". (NKJV)

I - is for Impossible.
     It is impossible for God to allow sin into Heaven.
     God is...
         * Love...John 3:16 (NKJV)
         * Just... "For judgement is without mercy" - James 2:13a (NKJV)
         * Man Is Sinful... "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" -
           Romans 3:23 (NKJV)

But let me ask you...How can a sinful person enter into heaven, where God allows no sin?
The answer is...

T - is for Turn.
     How about this...if you were driving down the road and somone asked you to turn,
     what would he be asking you to do?   That's right - change directions.

     Turn means repent. So in accepting Christ you simply have to turn from SIN and Self.
     In Luke 13:3b, it says, "But unless you repent you will all likewaise perish."

     So if you turn from "something" you have to replace it with the proper someone and
     that is trusting in Christ only. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 15:3b-4 that with your
     ..."Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; and that He was buried,
     and that he arose again on the thrid day according to the Scriptures" (NKJV).

In Romans 10:9, it says, "if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (NKJV).

The Reward is...

H - is for Heaven.
     Heaven is eternal life.
           Here...Christ said, "I have come that you may have life and have it more
           abundantly" (John 10:10b, NKJV).

Hereafter...Christ said, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again
and recieve you to myself; that where I am there you may be also" (John 14:3, NKJV).

How can I accept Christ into my heart and life...very simply. Believing what you have
read, you now have the opportunity to pray this prayer...

Dear Jesus, I know I am sinner and I need a Savior.
I believe you died on the cross for my sins.
I repent of my sins and ask that you please forgive me.
Come into my life and help me to follow you.
I love you Jesus. Thank you for loving me first. Amen.
